KIDS’ Club

CHECK-IN

You will find the UABC KIDS’ check-in booth on the lanai of the worship center. If you have already registered your keiki for KIDS’ Club, please go to the check-in booth to pick up name tag(s) for your child(ren) and a parent from (to fill you in on what we will be studying this Sunday). If you have not already registered your child for KIDS’ Club, you can register here or we will give you a QR code to scan at the booth on Sunday morning.

Children, ages 5-12, who are wearing their KIDS’ Club name tag will be permitted to walk to KIDS’ Club with our adult volunteers. Children under 5, or those who have not yet been checked-in, must walk to KIDS’ Club with a parent/guardian.

PICK UP

KIDS’ Club meets on the first floor of Koon Mission Building. We ask that all parents/guardians please pick up their keiki from KIDS’ Club within 5 minutes of the end of the worship service. To retrieve your child, please enter the church playground through the makai gate (closest to the worship center). Preschool & Kindergarten children may be picked up from the mauka lanai door (room 4) and keiki in grades 1-6 may be picked up through the middle lanai door (rooms 2-3). It is common for families to stay and play on the playground after the worship service. You are welcome to join us!

WHAT TO EXPECT

We begin with a big group time in rooms 2-3. Our preschool & elementary students review their monthly memory verse together & sing together before separating into two classes.

Our preschool & kindergarten class follows the same routine each Sunday. First, they gather around the table where one of our preteen or teen helpers leads them in exploring part of the Big God Story as they enjoy a snack. Afterward, they continue to explore God’s Story through games, crafts, & activities.

Our elementary class typically includes a game before students dive into part of the Big God Story together. After the lesson, we spend time reflecting on a truth of God we discovered together.

KIDS’ Club POINTS

Each week, kids can earn KIDS’ Club points. Keiki receive 1 point for attending KIDS’ Club, 1 point for bringing their Bible, 3 points for reciting the monthly memory verse, and 5 points for bringing a friend. Kids earn a prize for every 25 points they earn.

We encourage keiki of all ages to bring their Bible with them on Sundays!

KIDS’ Club EXPECTATIONS

Each week we review these expectations of our keiki. If a child is unable to follow these expectations, they may be walked back to sit with their parent/guardian in the worship service:

A - We give our ATTENTION to our leaders, listening and following directions.

L - We show God’s LOVE to one another, encouraging one another and by keeping our hands and feet to ourselves.

O - We choose to serve OTHERS by welcoming one another and helping each other.

H - We shoe HONOR to our leaders & friends through our actions & words.

A - We ASK questions when we don’t understand or need more information.

A PLACE FOR ALL KEIKI

At this time, our friends with special needs are fully included in our KIDS’ Club classes. We do have extra helpers in the classes and make accommodations as needed to help our friends have fun as they learn about God’s love! We would love to know how we can best serve your child. Please do not hesitate to contact Dani Beth before Sunday, regarding your child with special needs.

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Each KIDS’ Club class is led by at least 2 loving adults who have completed a background check and completed an interview. We also have preteen/teen teaching assistants in each class to help best serve our keiki.

KIDS’ Club meets in the building next to the worship center. Please access this building through the playground.
